layers
come along a journey that most will never see
a place of many layers that you have to stop and sea
each place is filled with wonder, discovering and filled with dreams
falling down the rabbit hole or sipping on some tea
whichever that you favor, just stay a while with me
you will then begin to see my world and how it looks to me
I dream to live the day away, to cope with all the pain
a dream what most don't dare to dream or consider just the same
that we must not live without a dream a dream to have and hold
it's what carries us through life each day
it's what makes us wiser when we get old
consider just a fancy to stay a half past hair
a sip or two and tea with me and time to sit and share
come along a journey that most will never sea,

Girlfriends
when you are not given a handbook in life and feel absolutely lost, alone and afraid, girlfriends become your rock and foundation. They become my family, they help me regain strength in my wings to fly. They give me courage to love myself and to never stop dreaming. No matter how young or old, women are such strong creaturesQueens of the World, fast, assertive, sharp, strong, wise and honored by many.
For that I am truly grateful. Here I start a new journey in my life and I find myself surrounded my beautiful women that teach me what I need to know in life. They provide me guidance and help me along my life's path. "a friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart"

my thoughts on '2009
so hear is where my heart lands. I got more sick, found a great new set of doctors. Discovered more about my health that gave me new insight on my life's journey. Gained friendships, lost some, had the 3rd most wonderful day of my life happen to me. Got a furry companion, lost a furry companion. Gained a free fish bowl game on my Facebook that gives me the comfort of taking care of something though...
ended the year penniless and broken but one things for certain as hard as the year was I realized I was never once poor... because I fell in love for the first time. I fell in love with life, my children, my design work and last but not least... myself.
I say all and all that '2009 wasn't so bad after all.
