soMetiMes through all the hustle aNd bustle of the Holiday Season we teNd to forget even the smallest of gifts that life can bRiNg. fRoM the waRmth of a hoMe, the coMpaNy of faMily aNd fRieNds, a good deed of service, an act of kindness or the siMplicity of silence aNd reflection upon the years past but most of all woRds of gratitude.

TakiNg Flight

Inhale aNd believe what I see, what I feel aNd what I know. A soul cannot live without flying, it cannot grow. I cannot render to those who do not believe. They do not see what I see, they do not feel what I feel. What is more iMpoRtaNt, to prove myself to those who doN't believe or release my spirit to the wiNd aNd trust that it will carry me where my existence desires to be, where I feel free?
I cannot keep myself restrained aMoNgst those who aRe afraid to fly.
My wiNgs aRe meant to soar, to feel scared for a moment in tiMe. To have life take my breath away so I know that I am alive aNd feel the butterflies within my chest bursting to discover moRe.
A free spirit perhaps or that of what I have always known, that I am not flying aloNe aNd they aRe near by watching over me. MakiNg suRe I keep my wiNgs open to catch every experience that life has to offer. I had such a hard tiMe articulating what I waNted to write in my jourNal today. It's ThaNks GiviNg, how haRd could it be to express my gratitude? But soMetiMes it's the silent whisper or nudges in life that leave us loss for words on purpose.
SoMetiMes lil' moMeNts can take our breath away aNd speak what our heart is tRyiNg to say. As I was waiting in liNe getting groceries this past week, a quote posted up on the wall next to the check out staNd said this...

I asked the clerk if she could make a copy of this quote for me. I folded it up aNd placed it in my purse. As I walked through the Church store getting the help aNd grocery items I needed, the words fRoM this piece of paper raNg out loud aNd clear as if what was written was speaking straight fRoM what my heart lives for each day.
I left the Church Grocery Store feeliNg huMbled by the help I had just received with a cart full of free groceries to get by with aNd a silent reMiNder of how grateful I am for the blessings I have been given.
This quote stays in my purse as a constant reMiNder of how iMpoRtaNt it is for me to be coNstaNtly living in a miNdset of gratitude aNd tHaNkfulNess.

Poetic GaRdeNs jourNal

I decided to pick up my wRitiNg again aNd jourNal about my life with
Poetic GaRdeN. I doN't waNt to over articulate of why I see life in 3D but rather express what I have learned aNd am learning as I venture out on the open sea.
Not sure in which order it caMe but as I begin to grow so did my dReAms.
I weNt through a period of believing in God to a tiMe wHeN I didn't, cHalleNgiNg the laws of nature. To growing into my self esteem. LoNgiNg for more peace aNd a better direction in my life.
What I am discovering is that by the choices I make, I can continue to be in the drivers seat aNd know where I am goiNg or be a passenger in the back seat merely aloNg for the ride.
So here I am at aNotHeR fork in the road aNd have made the choice to be the driver to my destination aNd have God as my passenger in the fRoNt seat.
I take with me a few basics, a bottle of 'what i've learned' aloNg with a life preserver of faith, that if I continue to believe in myself tHeN the path I choose to go on will lead me to my dReAms. ~poeticgarden.com

Feeling a bit overwhelmed, I sought refuge in the gaRdeN today.
Blessed to live in a place where hummingbirds still collect their nectar aNd can feel fresh cut grass beneath my feet, I captured a delicate piNk rose that was beginning to emerge.
As I studied the liNes aNd details on the petals, I fouNd myself poNdeRiNg on the day ahead with all that needed to be accomplished. Focusing in on the details, I noticed my spirit was regaining the peace it so desired. Calmness caMe over me as the sound of the birds near by raNg out in beautiful haRmoNy.
A tiMe of clarity as I couldn't help but notice that the particular color of Rose I was drawn to was that of PiNk.
A PiNk Rose symbolizes 'tHaNk You' aNd right then I knew what my heart was tRyiNg to say...
I give tHaNks to the everlasting iNspiRatioN that MotHeR Nature has given to me aNd for all the beauty she has brought into my life. For those who have helped me grow into the person I have become aNd desire to be. Poetic GaRdeN would not be where it is today without those who have supported me with silent acts of kindness or daily words of encouragement. StReNgth

If i'm to be aloNe that is where I will stay, I have wiNgs to fly aNd that is ok.
Life may tRy to buRdeN or weigh me down but I know that my wiNgs will take flight aNd will oNe day take me off the gRouNd.
I doN't have to be oNe with another flight as my heart already knows what is right.
It's tiMe for me to love myself aNd be aloNe with my soul, to give myself what I need. To learn aNd uNderstaNd aNd be deseRviNg to be free.
To feel the wiNd brush against my face or have life catch my bReAth in ways that I oNly iMagiNed it would
If oNly I knew the answers of where my path might take me if oNly I could
I would tell the oNes I hold dear to my heart that I need this tiMe to learn fRoM the start of kNowiNg who I am. Where I have started aNd where I have began.
Every beiNg has wiNgs to fly but it's the process of leaRniNg aNd gRowiNg to learn how to tRy.
To be apart of soMetHiNg bigger that caN't be explained or understood, if I had the answers I would wear your buRdeN upon my wiNgs aNd fly for you aNd show you tHiNgs that I have seen before but I am still leaRniNg aNd need to know moRe. ReMeMbRaNce

Receiving a caRe package filled with assorted scrapbook items aNd charms fRoM a special faMily, I found myself reMeMberiNg these words 'Entertaining Angels Unaware.'
SoMe of the pieces were personal items of a dear fRieNd by the naMe of Jenny. A woman that I could connect with in fiNdiNg guidance aNd comfort in my life's jourNey. Passing away a week after my Dad did. Jenny impacted me in a way that I never iMagiNed, that would be with me tell this day.
I was filled with such gratitude aNd appreciation that Jenny's faMily would take the tiMe in seNdiNg me tHiNgs that she had collected throughout her years on this earth.
The tears began to fall as I looked through personal jewelry pieces aNd cHaRms of hers aNd instantly had the feeling of peace coMe over me.
I could hear the words 'Entertaining Angels Unaware' siNg out in my miNd aNd heart again aNd knew what I was do to with the keepsakes she had left behind.
In my latest aRt WoRk 'Pure In Heart' I felt compelled to add pieces of Jenny's life into the cReAtioN. I would like to tHiNk she resides as an Angel now aNd left me with a geNtle aNd loving reMiNder of what I could do with the taleNts that God has given to me. Feeling huMbled aNd iNspiRed that not only can I serve of my talents here on earth but to those who have passed on aNd aRe watching fRoM above.

If dReaMiNg consists of learning, growing aNd iNspiRiNg, tHeN it is my love that I continue to live my life to reMiNd others to not forget about those who have passed aNd aRe walking on this jourNey with me in spirit.

Vision Through My Soul

beNeAth the bRaNches you will fiNd a woRld not often seen
caNdied blossoms aNd sugared petals dRagoNflies aNd bees
ladybugs aNd butterflies daNce beNeAth the leaves
tiNy as a dewdrop but as big as the soul can see
a baby faiRy nestled diScoveRiNg her newborn wiNgs
as she tries to flutter aNd floats about catchiNg on every breeze
she knows that if she keeps on tRyiNg she will begin to see
that she can fly just like all the others if oNly she just believes
I weNt on a walk to get soMe fResh aiR
aNd took my camera with me to captuRe MotHeR NatuRe.
As I got up close with my caMeRa to study the liNes aNd details of the flowers,
I couldN't see this paRticulaR lil' aNt goiNg about it's day
until I pulled my caMeRa away aNd saw with my own eyes.
So as I wrote this faiRy poem I thought to myself if I had barely noticed the tiNy aNt,
what other woRlds aRe out there that our soul may not see?
If but oNly we slow down in life aNd siMply just believe
tHeN we can start seeiNg what our souls aRe meant to see.

I've been on a jourNey receNtly that soMe would not believe. A cHaNce to finally give my heart what it's loNged for, soMetHiNg that it needs. A cHaNce to feed my soul in ways I never iMagiNed. Experiencing tHiNgs that have made me stRoNgeR though I thought could never eNduRe.
Opportunities to build my self esteem aNd make choices that my heart yearns for aNd follow the path to my dReAms. A road less traveled but oNe I will not waiver. If I am at peace for the choices I make now, it is soulfully fRoM soMetHiNg I believe.
My jourNey may never laNd in oNe place nor have a spot to call hoMe. If it's meant for me to explore, I know I will not be aloNe. I'll always coMe back to the the oNes I love aNd take with me my mentor. I've been on a jourNey that is less traveled, a place that i've been before.
